Nanking Cherry is a beautiful ornamental shrub with delicious edible fruit. The cherries are smaller than grocery store cherries - typically 3/8 to 1/2 inch across, but they are abundant, tart, and delicious. 
 
Nanking Cherry shrubs reach a height of 6 to 10 feet and spread about 6 to 12 feet wide. They like full sun to produce the most abundant fruit, but they will tolerate some shade as well.
